Why Facebook went to iOS app while Mobile web was best:
On Aug of 2012, Facebook rebuild its version from mobile web to iOS app. What would have been its actual reason was that because of faster accessibility or some other reason behind it. When facebook first developed its mobile website it was been accessed by Android, iPhone and many other mobiles. The code was in HTML5 which almost supported all the platforms. Facebook imported all its contacts and other information from its website to the mobile web. It was the only network which was accessed in all the mobile phones.
Mobile web was an easiest way to maintain its code, as it has only single source code which almost supported seven thousand devices. It often sends its updates and changes; users just upload it which was easy task for both users and Facebook.
iOS users always want their iPhone applications to be much faster. As we all know by using HTML5 it’s hard for scrolling smoothly. By using this new iOS facbook app there are many advantages like it is much faster, image can be uploaded instantly, scrolling is faster and smoother.
As said HTML5 is slow and so facebook shifted its app to objective- c for making the mobile app much faster. And to be honest it made app faster. Last time when iPhone introduced iOS 5 Twitter was the one which created its app. Now in iOS 6 facebook is the one which converted to iPhone application.
Facebook was best in its Mobile web and unbeatable in HTML5. People often use their browsers too for facebook now a new app also came. Which will almost be very interesting for iOS users.
